(Orlando, FL) – Orlando’s newest microbrewery has announced their grand opening blowout will take place Saturday, January 20th from 1 PM to 12 AM. This family and dog-friendly event will feature handcrafted microbrews, specialty release kegs, food trucks, and games.
Ellipsis Brewing has been the passion project of a trio of Orlando beer enthusiasts for over three years. The small company signed their lease at the warehouse space just off Semoran Boulevard well over a year ago and began build-out in late May. Their large, spacious taproom features fifteen drafts, most of which are dedicated to brews crafted in-house. In the short time of their soft opening, Ellipsis has received rave reviews from Orlando beer drinkers. Many of their creations are currently among the top-rated beers in Central Florida according to popular craft beer app, Untappd. “We are truly blown away by how much reception we’ve gotten so far,” says Ellipsis’ head-brewer and Co-Owner Robert McKee.
The company operates on a 10-barrel brew system with five 10-barrel fermenters, which gives them the capacity to produce 11,000 barrels (or 22,000 full sized kegs) per year. Head-brewer McKee is excited to be a part of the budding Orlando beer scene. “We have the potential to build something really special in Central Florida,” he says. He understands the impact that Orlando tourism offers and surmises that “maybe in the next five, ten years we can be like Tampa-St. Pete and we can have sixty breweries.” But for now, McKee and staff are focusing on the present and preparing special, limited release beers for the company’s grand opening event. “That’s all we can do,” McKee explains, “is strive to make great beer.”
Ellipsis Brewing is located at 7500 TPC Blvd in Suite #8. They’re two streets up from the Orlando International Airport and two streets back from Semoran.
